I have been interested in road maps since I was around five years old. It all started when my family moved from Ann Arbor, MI to the small city of Litchfield, MI. Litchfield is about 150 miles from Ann Arbor, and therefore we must have used road maps frequently. I was (and have been) always drawing maps of fictional places, usually road maps based on places familiar to me, or that I have seen in my own maps. In 2003, I discovered that state and provincial departments of transportation offered free official highway maps, which is when my road map collection first began. I now have over one thousand road maps in my collection, and it is continually growing. I have decided to start a website showcasing my favorite road maps, as well as other road-related items of interest.
